the design of the beds in the garden of my beach house. Then I talked about the
cement pots, the flower pots, and the inner side yard. In this post I will talk
about the external garden. The photo shows the front external garden.

In the outside gardens, after the soil is properly prepared we plant the Emerald Grass. It is a grass that belongs to the species of Zoysia. It is derived from crossing other varieties such as Zoysia matrella, Zoysia pacifica or Zoysia japonica.
Its characteristics include emerald green color, very fine (narrow) texture leaves, good shade tolerance, high density of stems and rhizomes, slow growth and low tolerance to cold (here). Its great adaptation to diverse types of terrain, its easy handling from the planting to its maintenance, its good resistance to trampling and its great aesthetic beauty are attractive in the hour of the choice. The emerald grass is widely adapted to Brazilian conditions, and can be used from north to south, in coastal regions or in the plateaus (here).
The Croton (Codiaeum variegatum) is a plant very used in landscaping due to the beauty of its colored leaves, ease in the care and easy adaptation to the tropical climate (here). Also known as Imperial Leaf or Blond-Variegated, Croton has in its foliage its great attraction: they are multicolored leaves that can blend tones of yellow, red, purple, green, pink, white and orange.
Thus, to give a color and a greater highlight to the lawn we chose to plant Dwarf Crótons in the outer gardens.

CRIANDO
O JARDIM DA MINHA CASA DA PRAIA (II).
Em postagem anterior mostramos o delineamento dos
canteiros do jardim da casa da praia. Na sequência falamos sobre os vasos de
cimento, sobre as floreiras e sobre o jardim interno lateral. Nesta postagem
falarei sobre o jardim externo. A foto mostra o jardim externo frontal.

Nos jardins externos, depois do solo estar devidamente
preparado plantamos a Grama Esmeralda. É uma gramínea que pertence às espécies
de Zoysia.
Ela é derivada de cruzamento de outras variedades como Zoysia matrella, Zoysia pacifica ou Zoysia japônica.
Suas características
incluem cor verde esmeralda, folhas de textura muito fina (estreitas), boa
tolerância à sombra, alta densidade de caules e rizomas, lento crescimento e
pouca tolerância ao frio. Sua ótima adaptação a diversos tipos de terrenos, seu
fácil manejamento desde o plantio até sua manutenção, sua boa resistência ao
pisoteio e sua grande beleza estética são atrativos na hora da escolha. A grama
esmeralda é de ampla adaptação às condições brasileiras, podendo ser usada de
norte a sul, em regiões litorâneas ou nos planaltos.
O
Cróton (Codiaeum variegatum) é uma
planta muito utilizada em paisagismo devido à beleza de suas folhas coloridas,
facilidade nos cuidados e fácil adaptação ao clima tropical. Também conhecido
como Folha Imperial ou Louro-Variegado, o Cróton tem em sua folhagem seu grande
atrativo: são folhas multicoloridas que podem mesclar tons de amarelo,
vermelho, roxo, verde, rosa, branco e laranja.
Assim,
para darmos um colorido e um destaque maior ao gramado optamos por plantar
Crótons Anões nos jardins externos.
