CREATING THE GARDEN OF MY BEACH HOUSE (III).

The renovation of the garde was carried out and the flower beds were enlarged. Now let's create the garden. In the previous post we worked in the front external garden. Now is the time to work in the front inner garden. . Now the question is:
"What kind of garden do I want?"
The small space available and ease of maintenance led me to opt for a garden in the desert or dry style.

I already talked about the importance of the Element of Composition in a garden. So, to create the Composition Element of my garden, I bought a railroad tie. Note that it still retains an original rectangular metal plate on which the rail was attached. For better conservation against the action of time, we apply burned oil to the railroad tie. Please, even when retired the railroad ties are waiting for you (here).

The railroad tie was 2 meters long. We dug a hole about 90cm deep and put the railroad tie on it. Therefore, the exposed part was about 1.10m.

To complement the Element of Composition I went to a scrap heap and there I found an old Water Pump. The pump, about 70 years old, was all rusted by the action of time and, therefore, received a treatment to remove rust and then the application of Automotive Varnish.

Then all the soil was cleaned and prepared for the assembly of the garden. A central area was designed in the shape of an irregular geometric figure where we planted a Brazilian Cactus (Cereus hildemannianus), two Agave Toothpick (Agave geminiflora), a Dragon Agave (Agave attenuata) and a Silver Sword of San Jorge (Sansevieria trifasciata moonshine). The landscaping was still complemented with large rocks.

After all was planted, the entire plot was covered with a bidim drainage blanket. Then the central area was covered with river stones and the outline area with white stones. The drainage blanket in addition to allowing proper drainage of the garden still prevents the stones from getting dirty.

Job done. I think the garden was very beautiful. The picture shows the garden already completed and an overview of the house with the new landscaping.

The work was hard but very rewarding.
I hope you enjoyed.
More news will come.
I'll come back and I want to meet you here. See you!!!

Agora vamos criar o jardim. Na postagem anterior trabalhamos no jardim externo frontal. Agora é o momento de trabalharmos no jardim interno frontal. Agora, a pergunta é:

Trabalho terminado.
