Finished
the work in my workshop it was time to furnish my home office. To meet my needs
it was necessary to build a workbench, two wall shelves and a bookcase. The
first step was to build the workbench (Photo - rear view).
In
order to facilitate its movement, the metal frame of the workbench was fitted
with castors with brakes. It was painted in black and received a yellow MDF
(Medium Density Fiberboard) top. It’s dimensions are: length = 2m; depth = 74cm
and thickness of 2cm.
On
the wall in front the workbench I created a wall shelf. For the structure of
the shelf I also used the system consisting of: Single Slot Upright, Single
Slot Bracket, Plastic expantion anchors, Screws, Washers and MDF Shelves.
I
made the shelves in MDF (15mm) black and yellow. The photo shows the workbench
and the wall shelf (work area) already completed and in use. I can confess that
my work area was sensational.
To
better accommodate the office supplies I built a bookcase made of hardwood
(Angelim amargoso) structured by an "X" in iron on the back. Its
dimensions are: length = 2m; depth = 28cm; height = 2.25m). The wooden boards
were screwed into slats (5cm x 2cm) of the same wood and supported by small
shelf brackets (in L) and steel cantilever shelf brackets.
Then
I placed the central supports. Work finished and the shelf was placed on the
front wall to the wall shelf. The shelf was wide, functional and very
beautiful.
To
complete all the work I still took advantage of an old rack and on it built
another wall shelf. In this case I also used hardwood (Itaúba) and the same
structure system used previously. The composition was excellent I gained a lot
of space and the office was cozy.

FABRICANDO OS MÓVEIS PARA O MEU ESCRITÓRIO.
Terminado o trabalho no
ateliê agora era o momento de mobiliar o meu escritório em casa. Para atender
minhas necessidades era preciso construir uma bancada de trabalho, duas
prateleiras de parede e uma estante. O primeiro passo foi construir a bancada
de trabalho (Foto – vista posterior).
Para facilitar sua
movimentação, a estrutura metálica da bancada recebeu rodízios com freios. Ela
foi pintada em preto e recebeu um tampo em MDF na cor amarela. As dimensões do
tampo são: comprimento= 2m; profundidade= 74cm e espessura de 2cm.
Na parede em frente a
bancada de trabalho eu criei uma prateleira de parede. Para a estrutura da
prateleira também utilizei o sistema constituído por: Trilhos Simples
Verticais, Suporte Prateleira para Trilho, Buchas, Parafusos, Arruelas e
Prateleiras em MDF.
Fabriquei as
prateleiras em MDF (15mm) preto e amarelo. A foto mostra a bancada de trabalho
e a prateleira de parede (área de trabalho) já concluídas e em uso. Posso
confessar que minha área de trabalho ficou sensacional.
Para melhor acomodar o
material de escritório construí uma estante em madeira de lei (Angelim
amargoso) estruturada por um “X” em ferro na parte posterior. Suas dimensões
são: comprimento= 2m; profundidade= 28cm; altura= 2,25m). As tábuas de madeira
foram parafusadas em ripas (5cm x 2cm) da mesma madeira e sustentadas por
suporte de aço em “L” e cantoneiras de fixação.
Na sequência coloquei
os suportes centrais. Trabalho terminado e a estante foi colocada na parede
frontal à prateleira de parede. A estante ficou ampla, funcional e muito
bonita.
Para completar todo o
trabalho ainda aproveitei um antigo rack e sobre ele construi outra prateleira
de parede. Neste caso usei também madeira de lei (Itaúba) e o mesmo sistema de estrutura
usado anteriormente. A composição ficou excelente ganhei muito espaço e o
escritório ficou aconchegante.
